TikiWiki Overview

Tikiwiki, popularly known as Tiki is a free and open source software. This means that you don't have to pay anything for you to download, install or use it on your computer or server.
A typical Tiki site is similar to a Wikipedia site.
To install the software you have to download it. There are two places where you can download from: from Tikiwiki site or from Softaculous.
Many experts recommend that you should download the software through Softaculous. This is because you don't have to upload files or set up the database when you use Softaculous.

This is because the tool does everything for you.
After you have installed the software on your server or device, you need to log in to the administrator dashboard.

To log in you need to navigate to your Tiki site then hover over the login link that is usually at the right hand side.
You should enter your username and password and then click on login.

If you unable to login, you probably have lost your password.

To reset the password you have to hover over the login link and click on 'I forgot my password.
' You should then enter your Admin username or email then click on 'request password reset.

' An email will be sent to you and you should click it in order to confirm the password reset.

Once the browser has loaded, you should enter your new password and click on change.

Once you have logged in and you are able to manage your Admin user, you can now go ahead and start creating pages.
To create the pages you need to first log into your TikiWiki then on the left hand menu, hover over Wiki and click on 'create a wiki page.

' Once the page opens, you should enter a page title and click on 'create page.
' You should then add text to the new page and click on save.
If you need to edit your Wiki Page you need to navigate to the page where you want to edit and then click on 'edit this page.' You should then add your content and click on 'save.

' To ensure that the content on your site is pleasant to look at, you need to format it. To do this you need to log into your site then click on the edit link which is usually at the bottom of the page.
Some of the editing options that you have include: bold, foreground color, underline, italic, strike-through, wiki link, external link, upload images and many others.
